This recorded Navigate training session covers the MyFuture careers module and how students explore careers and set goals.
What this session covers
- How students use the My Future careers module to take the careers quiz and explore job profiles.
- How students save careers to their dashboard and create careers targets.
- How students take their My Skills assessment and view their results.
- How staff view a student record and their My Future and assessment data.
- How staff add careers activities and targets against individual students or in bulk.
Taking the quiz and exploring careers (student site)
- Log in using the Log in using Microsoft, Log in using Google, or email and password option, then open the My Future module.
- Answer the four quick quiz questions covering industries, qualification, and interests to receive your top eight matched careers.
- Select Yes or No on each career, then go to your dashboard.
- Click View to open a job profile, and use Explore Further to see similar careers.
- Click Create Target, add a name, completion date, and details to set a careers target.
Taking the skills assessment (student site)
- Open the My Skills module and click Start New Skills Assessment.
- Add the completion date and select an assessment, such as the personal and professional skills assessment.
- Answer the questions honestly, then view your results across each theme and skill.
Adding activities and targets (staff site)
- Go to Quick Links and search for a student by name or number to open their record.
- Use the My Future and assessments tabs to review careers, targets, and skills results.
- In the targets or activities tab, click Add Activity or add a target and fill in the details.
- To add in bulk, filter to All Students, tick the students, click Actions, then choose Add Activity or target.
