This recorded Navigate training session covers the full T Level industry placement workflow, from enrolling students to delivering the placement.
What this session covers
- Enrolling students onto their T Level course in Navigate so hours and paperwork link correctly.
- Creating a T Level industry placement, including learner, employer and placement details.
- Working through the placement administration dashboard milestones, approvals and reviews.
- Adding and signing off targets (employability and technical learning goals).
- Requesting a placement from a student and approving what they submit.
Enrolling students and creating a placement
- From the home page, open Number of students assigned to you, or use the filters to find your group.
- Tick the students, go to Actions and choose Enrol on T Level course, then complete the course, dates and staff in the wizard.
- Open the Placements module, click Add a placement and select T Level industry placement.
- Complete the Learner details, Employer details and placement tabs, add dates and times, then Save.
- Open the Targets tab, click Add placement target and add your six employability and technical goals.
Placement administration and approvals
- Work through each milestone in order: employer compliance, placement agreement, induction checklist, then initial, mid and final reviews.
- For each task, use Send form to email the person, View data to complete it live, or Approve directly.
- Reassign a task to a colleague using the icon beside it, so it appears in their Tasks assigned to you panel.
- To involve students, use Actions, Request a T Level industry placement and set a target date.
- When work returns, sign off or reject targets, then approve the student's placement from the home page.
