This guide shows you how to update an employer's compliance details in Navigate using the information from a returned due diligence form.
1. Email notification when the form is returned
When an employer completes a due diligence form and submits it for review, the coordinator linked to the placement receives a notification from Navigate Learning.

2. Review the form
Click 'Review' to view the form straight from your email. Check your college's specific health & safety expectations for employers as you review the document.

3. Note the ELI / compliance expiry date
Make a note of the ELI / compliance expiry date. You will need it to update the employer record.

4. Review the attached ELI document
Click the link to review and confirm the attached document legitimately evidences the compliance expiry date.

5. Open Quick Links
Click 'Quick links'.

6. Open the employer record
Search for the employer and select them from the results to open their profile.

7. Open the Audit Trail
The completed due diligence form is available in the employer's Audit Trail.

8. Open the due diligence form
Click 'Employer due diligence' to view the hyperlinked form.

9. Open the employer 'Details' tab
Click into the employer's 'Details' tab to update their compliance.

10. Update the compliance status
In the compliance section, click 'Yes' to update the compliance date details.

11. Set the compliance approval date
Click into the 'Compliance approved date' field and set the date. This is the date you are approving the form, usually today's date.

12. Set the compliance expiry date
Set the 'Compliance expiry date'. This is the verified date the employer's ELI (employer liability insurance) document expires.

13. Set the health & safety approval date
Click 'Health and safety approval date' to enter the approval date for health & safety compliance, usually today's date.

14. Set the health & safety expiry date
Click 'Health and safety expiration date' to define when health & safety compliance expires. Your college will have specific guidelines for how often each risk level should be reassessed.

15. Save the changes
Once complete, click 'Update' to save the dates you have added.

16. The employer is now compliant
When the compliance and health & safety dates are current, the employer shows as compliant. They become non-compliant when either expiry date lapses.
